Your new company.Your new school is seeking a member of staff who can bring confidence, enthusiasm, and motivation to pupils. They incorporate an ethos of fun and inquisitiveness in their approach to the primary curriculum, promoting students to shine and enrich their learning journey. You will be working in a community-enriched environment with strong partnerships with sports associations and local traditions. They love to promote creativeness in the primary setting and give pupils the opportunity to get messy and explore through play. They make the most of outdoor spaces to engage pupils in their learning. STRIDE stands for “Steps to raise independence and develop equality”. Our school has specialist resource provision for pupils with mild to moderate SEND / SEMH needs to work and get the right support to help them achieve in education. The STRIDE provision has a health of sensory and developmental resources to help children flourish. Your new role.You will be required to immerse yourself within a busy SEN department and provide support for pupils and teaching staff. You will work alongside staff and pupils with SEN difficulties and use teaching and behavioural methods in line with Quality First Teaching practices. You may be required to supervise pupils outside the classroom and create a calm and conductive working environment. You will be working in classes with a higher staff to pupil ratio to offer a more bespoke support and a safe learning environment. The school will offer training and expertise for this. You will work with children in KS1 / KS2 who may experience difficulties with communication and language, sensory difficulties, ADHD, Autism. You will be working with EHCP’s and IHCP’s to track and monitor children’s progress and improve confidence and achievement in education. The school invites people with transferable skills to apply.
