We’re currently seeking an experienced and passionate ASD Specialist Teaching Assistant to join our team in Milton Keynes. This role offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD).

As an ASD Specialist Teaching Assistant, you’ll work closely with students diagnosed with ASD, providing tailored support and guidance to help them achieve their full potential. Your role will involve assisting the classroom teacher, implementing individualized education plans, and fostering a supportive learning environment that promotes growth and development.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide one-on-one support to students with ASD, addressing their unique learning needs.
• Collaborate with the classroom teacher to create and implement specialized learning strategies.
• Assist in the development and implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs).
• Foster a supportive and inclusive classroom environment for students with ASD.
• Utilize effective communication techniques to engage with students, parents, and staff.

Requirements:

• Experience working with children or individuals diagnosed with ASD is essential.
• Relevant qualifications or certifications in special education or related fields.
• Strong understanding of ASD and various strategies to support individuals on the spectrum.
• Patience, empathy, and the ability to adapt teaching methods to suit individual student needs.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
