1:1 EYFS SEN• Salary Range: £85 – £90 per day (experience dependent)• Location: Plymouth• Job Type: Long-Term (until July 2024, with the possibility of a permanent contact after)
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate individual to join our team as EYFS Support Staff, working 1:1 with a young pupil who experiences anxiety and challenging behaviour within a Special Educational Needs (SEN) environment. This role offers an immediate start and is an exceptional opportunity to make a positive impact on a child’s educational journey.
Day to Day of the role:• Provide 1:1 support to a young child within an SEN setting, focusing on their individual needs and educational goals.• Implement personalised strategies to manage anxiety and challenging behaviour, ensuring a safe and nurturing environment.• Collaborate with teachers and SEN coordinators to develop and adapt learning materials that cater to the pupil’s requirements.• Monitor and record the pupil’s progress, providing feedback to the educational team and the child’s family.• Engage the pupil in activities that promote learning, social interaction, and emotional development.
Required Skills & Qualifications:• Experience working with young learners, particularly in an SEN context.• Understanding of EYFS framework and the ability to tailor support to individual needs.• Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for supporting children with additional needs.• Strong communication skills to effectively liaise with staff, parents, and external agencies.• Proactive and creative approach to problem-solving within an educational setting.
