Estate Finance Assistant for Mells Park Estate

We are looking for a finance assistant to work with the Estate owner and farm manager to assist with all aspects of the estate’s finances.

Post: Estate Finance Assistant

Site: Mells Park House, Mells, Frome

Working Arrangement: 20 hours (Ideally over five days but negotiable)

Key Responsibilities:

• Tracking and reconciling bank statements
• Record accounts payable and accounts receivable with Xero, Dext & Microsoft
• Process invoices and follow up with clients, suppliers and partners as needed
• Processing payments

• Provide administrative support as needed
• Assistance with Payroll
• Budget development and analysis
• Cash Flow

Requirements and skills:

• Experience as a Finance Assistant, Finance Officer or similar role
• Excellent knowledge of accounting and bookkeeping procedures
• Advanced MS Excel skills (creating spreadsheets and using financial functions)
• Experienced user of accounting software Xero and Dext
• Bookkeeping qualifications
• Own initiative
• Organisational and time-management skills
• Attention to detail, with an ability to spot numerical errors
• Good people skills
