Flourish Education is currently working exclusively with a primary school in Wolverhampton. The school are looking for a 1:1 Teaching Assistant to join their KS2 team after Easter. Our client is a one form entry local authority school and has an OFTSED rating of “good”. The school is seeking to recruit a Teaching Assistant who can work with a child in year 3 on a 1:1 basis. The successful individual will work closely with the class teacher and SENCO. The child has significant social, emotional trauma-based needs. The child can be aggressive at times and would benefit with some trained in positive handling. The ideal candidate will have experience of working with children with similar needs and must adopt a calm and positive approach. This full time Teaching Assistant role has become available due the school securing additional funding. Ideally the school are looking for someone to start ASAP and is to continue until the end of the academic year. For the right person this has the potential to become a permanent role. This full time Teaching Assistant role, working Monday – Friday To apply to this Teaching Assistant, you will need the following: . Minimum relevant Level 2 Qualification . Experience within primary schools . To be nurturing and enthusiastic . SEN Experience . Current DBS on the update service . Strong behaviour management skills Responsibilities of a Teaching Assistant: . To work in partnership with the class teacher and SENCo . Provide one-to-one support .
