We are recruiting for a part-time experienced and well organised technician to join the team at Common Leys Farm campus. This is an exciting post, giving the successful applicant the opportunity to work across the animal care unit caring for a range of animals and supporting students to develop a high level of employability skills.
You will be working with a wide range of animals on our animal unit, including reptiles, rodents, birds, paddock animals and farm livestock amongst others. You should be qualified to a minimum of level 3 in a recognised animal subject and have recent experience of working within animal collections or in a college environment. You must enjoy working with young people and be confident working with and supervising students in a wide variety of routine duties and practical animal husbandry tasks and have experience of working with a wide range of domestic animals.
The role is part time and includes working weekends. You would be part of a dedicated, flexible team of lecturers, instructors, technicians and support staff based at the farm.
