Pebble Brook School in central Aylesbury is looking for 2 Apprentice Teaching Assistants to commence in September.
Term time only, 39 Weeks per annum.
Salary details: Apprentice Wage £195.36 Per week
Contract type: Apprenticeship
Hours: 37 hours per week. 08:00 to 16:00 Monday to Thursday and 08:00 to 15:30 on a Friday

About the role
As an Apprentice TA, you will work under the instruction/guidance of teaching and senior staff to undertake education support duties and assist the class teacher in the day to day needs of the pupils in their care, to enable the teacher to implement the curriculum and respond to the pupils’ needs. To maintain complete confidentiality on all school matters.
This is a fantastic opportunity for you to start your career as a Teaching Assistant, gaining experience in supporting our teachers and in supporting our pupils with a range of learning needs to achieve their goals and targets, whilst working towards your Level 3 qualification. This is also a great stepping-stone into other careers. You will be part of our friendly and dedicated team from day one. We have been recruiting apprentices for many years – a lot of our staff are former apprentices – and we value the skills, ideas and energy new apprentices bring to our school. You will be well supported by teaching and senior staff throughout your apprenticeship.

About you
Experience of working with children is not essential but you should have a calm and patient nature with a mature outlook and the ability to maintain complete confidentiality on all school matters.
Good communication skills with adults, children and young adults are required, as are good literacy and numeracy skills – passes in English and Maths GCSE at A -C / 4 and above or a Level 2 qualification are desirable and a good working knowledge of ICT is helpful.
Qualifications Required – Grade A-C / 4 or above Maths, English GCSE or Level 2 qualifications are desirable along with a good level of ICT would be helpful.
Keeping Children Safe in Education – KCSIE
You will achieve the full Teaching Assistant framework during your Apprenticeship to cover all aspects of this role. Training is delivered by Bucks Adult Learning over approximately 18 months to 2 years at NVQ Level 3
