Barratt Developments PLC
What you’ll be doing?
Reporting to the Department Manager, you will work towards gaining a nationally recognised apprenticeship qualification through on and off the job, role specific training.
Our apprentice programme is run in partnership with local colleges and is designed for those wishing to train in Technical (engineering or design) or Commercial (buying or surveying) areas. It mixes college study with practical on-the-job training with experienced industry specialists working towards a Construction Support Technician Apprenticeship Standard in England or SVQ Level 3 and a BTEC in a Contracting Operations Apprenticeship Pathway in Scotland.
Once you’re accepted, you’ll join Barratt on a permanent contract and start a two year structured Advanced Apprenticeship. You’ll learn on the job, and in a locally approved college – and you’ll be earning all the time. At the end of your apprenticeship, you’ll have loads more experience and valuable job skills and a nationally recognised professional qualification. And that’s just the beginning, once you’ve completed your apprenticeship there are plenty more options available to you. This programme of structured learning and continuous, individually tailored development will give you the skills and professional qualifications to enjoy a career that could take you from Trainee right up to Director level.
You will be expected to:
Complete on the job and college work within agreed acceptable time limits and standards
Be consistent at gathering quality work based evidence
Work with colleagues to learn and develop your role skills
Communicate with colleagues, lecturers and customers politely
Learn and adapt to a changing environment
Work safely using correct protective clothing and equipment where appropriate
Our programmes will commence in Summer 2022.
