tiney
**** Please note this is a self-employed opportunity and therefore requires some initial personal, financial investment to register as a childminder in accordance with government guidelines.
Tiney is an Ofsted-registered childminding agency (CMA) which provides eligible individuals the support and training they need to run a childminding business from their own home.
Important information:
A childminder must work in their own home at least 50% of their working hours (i.e. caring for children in your own home)
You will be self-employed and running your own business (under the accreditation of and with support from tiney)
You must be over the age of 21
You cannot live in shared accommodation (but living with family is ok)
This is not a nanny or babysitting position
Now the important stuff is out of the way… let’s cover the fun stuff!
If you enjoy spending time with children, are passionate about universal access to quality early years education for all children and have always wanted to be your own boss with your own creative freedom – this might just be the perfect opportunity for you.
Why become a childminder with tiney?
There are so many reasons why being a childminder is a rewarding, fulfilling and exciting career. But let’s start with just a couple:

Care for your own children at the same time and work from home
Grow your business through assistants and leadership opportunities within the tiney community
What you’ll be doing day-to-day:
Caring for up to 6 children under the age of 8 and up to 3 children under the age of 5 (this is the government-stipulated ratio, and your own children are included in the number)
Planning diverse daily activities based on the Early Years Framework and exploring the local community – inspiring your children with the world around them
Helping children to learn, develop and reach their full potential, shaping their lives and futures for years to come
Being present in the local community (don’t worry, we provide you with marketing support)

You’re looking to care for your own children whilst you work
You’re driven and organised
You’re professional and a good communicator

Alternative pathways to childminding:
Already have early years experience? Then you could be eligible to join our Accelerated Path. If you already have the EYFS knowledge, we focus on giving you the know-how to run a successful business – from finding customers, to taxes and everything in between.
Only want to work part time time and with older children? You can train in as little as 7 hours to provide wraparound after school care for older children.
Now that was a lot of information. But if you made it to the bottom of it all and you’re excited to learn more, we’d love to hear from you!
