Job Title: Attendance OfficerLocation: MiddlesbroughContract Type: Maternity CoverWorking Hours: 37 hours per week, Term Time Only + 10 daysStart Date: ASAPJob Summary: We are seeking an experienced Attendance Officer to join a school in Middlesbrough. The successful candidate will be responsible for monitoring attendance and implementing early intervention strategies to support parents and pupils to reduce absence. Key Responsibilities:

• Monitor attendance and punctuality of pupils
• Implement early intervention strategies to support parents and pupils to reduce absence
• Work with allocated primary schools to improve attendance
• Provide regular reports to senior management on attendance and punctuality
• Liaise with parents and external agencies to support pupils with attendance issues
• Attend meetings with parents and external agencies as required
• Undertake other duties as required by the Headteacher

Essential Requirements:

• Experience of working in a similar role
• Knowledge of SIMS or similar attendance management system
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines
• Good IT skills
