A Secondary School in Newport is seeking to appoint an Autism Support Teaching Assistant to support Year 7 and Year 8 pupils.
This will be a rewarding and fulfilling role, where no two days are the same. In this role you can really make a difference to a student’s life, whilst gaining valuable skills and experience in a school setting.
This role is full time and will be for the duration of the academic year. There will be a review in July 2022 with the potential for the right candidate to join the school on a permanent contract.
In this highly rewarding role, you will be working with children with Autism on a 1:1 basis, whilst implementing learning and behaviour programs.
£305 – £400 a week
Full Time (Mon-Fri – 08:30 – 15:10)
Start date: 17th January 2022
As an Autism Support Teaching Assistant you will need to ensure the daily needs of the pupils are met in a professional, competent, safe and fun school environment.
You will need to be creative, energetic and committed to engaging pupils whilst monitoring progress.
Following registration with Teaching Personnel we will be able to support your learning by providing CPD courses to enable you to up skill and enhance your experience.

The Complete SEND Diploma
Experience working/volunteering with children or vulnerable adults
If no experience working with children, you must display transferable skills from previous roles
Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willing to complete this)
Enthusiastic attitude towards inspiring children
Available to work school hours 08:30 – 15:10
