Behaviour Mentor Redbridge, East London ASAP Start Are you an innovative individual wanting to help better the lives of others? Have you ever worked with young adults? Are you someone good at inspiring those around you? A lovely young adult SEMH provision based in Islington is looking for an encouraged behaviour mentor to join their team. The school is looking for someone who is prepared to use initiative to help provide kids with new vices to control their behaviour and allow them to take steps into a successful future. This position is on a full-time basis and will require full commitment from the chosen candidate. As a SEMH provision they will need someone who has previous experience working with SEN, both inside and outside of the classroom. RESPONSIBILITIES Liaise with the class teacher where required Reporting any issues, in line with school policy and procedure Communicating effectively with children, staff, parents, and carers where necessary Looking after students emotional, physical, and social well being REQUIREMENTS Experience working with children with SEND and behaviour issues Training related to SEND e.g., Autism Awareness; Zones of Regulation; Team Teach (safe handling) Experience of working 1:1 or with small groups Experience of using visual resources, including visual timetables Being patient and kind with an approachable personality If you are interested in the role, please apply, or contact me on
