Tradewind are working with a junior school in the Rotherham area requiring an experienced behaviour support assistant from April 2021 on a full time basis. 4

The successful candidate will be working on a one to one basis with a student in Year 3 and will support the student throughout the day in all lessons and at lunch and break times. The school are looking for someone qualified to at least level 3 with a relevant Teaching Assistant.

The student has a diagnosis of ADHD so previous experience working with children with ADHD would be beneficial for this role as would a Team Teach qualification, as de-escalation will be an important aspect of managing this pupil’s behaviour in a positive way. An ability to build rapport and a good relationship with the student will be the most crucial aspect of this role.

You will be working closely with the class teacher and the school SENCO to ensure that all aspects of the student’s Individual Education Plan is properly implemented.

Pay £65.00 – £79.00 per day
