Vision For Education are looking to appoint a Behaviour Support Assistant with a desire to mentor pupils with Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs in a school environment. There are opportunities to work on either a full-time or part-time basis dependant on your circumstances.
The role
This is a fantastic opportunity to make a difference to pupils lives and their experience of education, especially those who have become disengaged from school life. You will be required to support in small classes from Y7 – Y11, assisting pupils in overcoming barriers to learning and dealing with behavioural issues.

This schools we work with are looking for committed and successful Behaviour Support Assistants to support their pupils who have Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs. The schools provide personalised, child-centred, high quality education programmes which aim to ensure that all the students individual educational needs are met.
Requirements
Salary is dependent on experience, training or qualifications. The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position are:
Have a minimum of 6 weeks relevant experience
To work either with small groups or 1:1 with students who may demonstrate challenging behaviour and who may have Special Educational Needs.
To facilitate a safe and positive learning environment and de-escalate any threatening or aggressive behaviour.
To mentor and engage with the students, delivering specifically designed educational packages.

All staff we register will undertake thorough interviewing and referencing checks and hold, or be prepared to undergo, an Enhanced DBS check that must be registered on the Update Service.
