Morgan Hunt have a new and exciting opportunity for a Curriculum Team Leader to lead the brickwork curriculum and work-based learning for an FE college based in South Yorkshire. This is a real opportunity as a passionate and innovative teacher and industry-skilled specialist to make this your own ‘Centre of Excellence’ within the region.
The role of a Curriculum Team Leader is to lead on the delivery of a range of programmes equipping our students with skills for their future through the delivery of outstanding education and training and inspiring students to achieve their potential.
In this curriculum/work-based learning area we deliver to a range of learners including full-time learners on study programmes, adults on part-time programmes and apprentices. In this role you will be responsible for delivering and leading on all levels of brickwork from Entry to Level 3.
Working with a supportive team including leadership from our Curriculum Manager, and working alongside other Curriculum team leaders and lecturers. This established team of education professionals deliver engaging practical and digital study, leading our future students to gain high quality industry standards.
As a Curriculum Team Leader, you will coordinate and lead a group of programmes and will deliver teaching each year, completing the relevant preparation and marking that supports this, and setting SMART targets to enable students to reach their potential. You will also supervise staff within your area to meet high expectations
Have you got what it takes to be successful?
In this role industry experience is essential as well as experience delivering, assessing and verifying all levels. You should have experience of co-ordination and managing a range of courses and be able to give our students an enriching experience from day one.
You must have recent experience of leading or working as part of team within an education establishment, with evidence of delivering strong outcomes and high-quality teaching and learning, plus leading a commercial environment.
You will have a teaching qualification and level 2 literacy and numeracy as well as a professional/vocational qualification in a brickwork at Level 3 or above as well as industry experience and evidence of strong CPD. Assessing and Internal Verification Awards are essential.
You will be able to lead your team successfully, working collaboratively with colleagues in this area and across other subjects. You will have good contacts with industry professionals and can work with them effectively to shape our future curriculum as well as providing excellent opportunities for our students to gain first-hand experience in this area.
