English Academic Mentor About the Role:

As an English Academic Mentor, you ll work closely with students across year groups, providing personalised support to build their confidence and skills in English. Key responsibilities include:

• Conducting 1:1 and small group sessions focused on literacy, comprehension, and exam preparation
• Assisting students with essay writing, critical analysis, and exam techniques
• Collaborating with teachers to foster a positive learning environment
• Monitoring and reporting on student progress to ensure effective intervention

English Academic Mentor Ideal Candidate:

• Holds a 2:1 or First-Class degree in English or a related field from a top 30 UK university
• Strong communication skills and a passion for English language and literature
• Patient, approachable, and committed to supporting student success
• Prior experience in an educational setting is beneficial but not required
