We are looking for an experienced and forward-thinking business development manager who goes above and beyond their requirements. We are looking for someone with experience in the education sector and someone who wants to leave their mark on the business. Someone who takes pride in the quality of their work and inspires others to achieve.
You’ll work with our small but highly focused global team to increase revenue in the Northern UK region, and identify and implement commercial strategies to grow business opportunities and secure new school customers.
The position can be based remotely with flexible working arrangements available, but will regularly liaise with the London based Team Leader.
Drive our market growth in the Northern UK region through strategic planning and sound market understanding
Maintain an effective pipeline of new business prospects
Keep up to date with the latest industry trends and use them to leverage our market position
Collaborate with the marketing team to plan campaigns and to help develop our brand strategy in the region
Identify and create new school by school revenue whilst also exploring Diocese and Government level opportunities
Conduct product demonstrations for potential new customers (remotely and face-to-face)
Skills & Experience:
You are an intelligent operator who always has their finger on the pulse when it comes to industry knowledge and competitor intelligence. You understand the importance of developing quality relationships with both internal and external stakeholders and facilitating and enhancing long-term sustainable growth.
Minimum of 3 years in Edtech school sales
A self-motivated, result-oriented individual with a passion for sourcing new business
Excellent listening, negotiation and presentation abilities with strong verbal and written communication skills
High level of computer literacy and proficiency in English literacy
Business Development experience with a proven record of acquiring and building new business
Previous experience using a CRM, Salesforce being highly desirable
Contacts in the education sector, including schools, trusts and local authorities is also highly desireable
