Classroom Manager

We are seeking a compassionate and confident classroom manager to support and adapt the curriculum for students alongside the classroom teacher with engagement and curriculum delivery.
About the role
Managing and supporting the delivery of the school’s curriculum by adapting teacher led content to meet the needs of individual students with Learning Disabilities.
The work is five-days per week, Monday to Friday.
Supporting children with physical and learning disabilities with daily tasks such as personal care, mobility and feeding.

You will be working with highly skilled staff who provide a personalised approach pupils needs, encouraging them to become lifelong learners and valued members of their communities. Students are supported with dignity and respect, taught to have independence where possible and support where required. The school caters for a range of needs inclusive of Severe Learning Disabilities, Mild Learning Disabilities, Autistic Spectrum Condition and Hearing/Visual impairments.
Skills and Qualifications
Required:
It is essential that you have experience working with people who have SEND needs.
It is essential that you have or are willing to obtain an Enhanced DBS certificate (must be on the update service)
To be considered for a support role, you will:
Other qualifications to work with young people and support students with SEND is not essential but desirable.
Have strong communication skills with the ability to quickly build a rapport with students and staff alike.
Be able to successfully work as part of a team and be confident to work independently and manage behavioural challenges.

Salary is dependent on experience, training or qualifications. The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position is experience of working with Physical or Learning Disabilities.
