Computer Science Tutor
Teaching Personnel are recruiting on behalf of a large Chorlton based Secondary School for a computer science tutor. It’s a part time position starting from September, likely running for the full academic year.
You will be providing 1:3 tuition sessions for a group of three year 11 students have been outlined by SLT as requiring additional support to achieve their grades. The three students are working at a level 4 currently, the hope is with targeted intervention they will move up to a level 6 in time for their GCSE assessments at the end of the academic year. The tuition will take place exclusively in school, during school hours, roughly 6 hours per week; the SENCO has outlined flexibility in terms of timetable to suit the right candidate’s schedule. You will provide regular feedback to both the Head of Computing and SENCO in order to establish a curriculum plan and gauge the students progression, full learning resources will be provided.
The ideal candidate will either be a fully qualified teacher, experienced tutor or high level computer science graduate with a strong subject knowledge and great interpersonal skills. The school is located in the desirable area of Chorlton, with on-site parking or a short walk from the local tram stop it’s easily accessible for those using private or public transport.

The role will be for immediate start, although it is subject to a DBS check, right to work UK authorisation so relevant documentation must be provided.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
