Construction Technician Location: Northampton Full time: Permanent Salary: £19,175.00 – £19,434.00 per annum Have you get experience and qualifications in construction? The role allows you to plan, deliver and develop high quality learning opportunities for students to help them achieve their learning goals and help them progress to a rewarding career. Main roles and responsibilities Assist in the preparation of construction workshops for practical teaching lessons. Support students undertaking practical activity under the direction of a member of teaching staff. Ensure the Construction Workshops are kept clean in line with College standards. Prepare materials for practical classes. Assist with the preparation and collection of practical materials. Clear up and clean workshops following practical classes. Carry out day to day housekeeping in the workshops and preparation areas. Ensure that administrative procedures are completed efficiently, including statutory and internal returns, stock and asset registers. Undertake basic maintenance and minor repairs within the workshops. Promote the welfare of young people and vulnerable groups in all aspects of College life and to ensure safeguarding arrangements are adhered to at all times. Ensure as far as possible the security of workshop equipment and materials.
