Job Role: Cover Supervisor
Location: Hull

Salary: £80 – £90 per day
Contract Type: Full-time/part-Time

GSL Education is seeking for a Cover Supervisor in Hull to start immediately. You will provide cover for absent teachers, delivering pre-planned lessons and managing student behaviour, across the curriculum.

Cover Supervisor Responsibilities:

• Supervisor classes across the curriculum in the event of a teacher absence.
• Ensure that pupils are engaging in pre-planned work.
• Manage pupil behaviour to create a safe and positive learning environment.
• Liaise with other staff members in regard to work being set and ensure you have all suitable resources.
• Provide feedback to the class teacher on pupil attendance, engagement and completion of work tasks.

Cover Supervisor Requirements:

• Hold an NVQ Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification or higher or be a Graduate considering a career in education.
• Have knowledge of safeguarding and child protection policies (training can be provided).
• Have the ability and willingness to undertake additional training and courses to enhance your professional development.
• Empathise with young people and have good interpersonal and communication skills.
• Have the ability to use your own initiative to work flexibly and be able to respond to different situations.
• Hold an Enhanced DBS registered to the update service or be happy to apply for a new one. DBS sponsorship is available for this position.
