Overview:
Stevenage schools are seeking responsible and dynamic Cover Supervisors to manage classroom activities in the absence of the regular teaching staff. Ideal candidates will effectively maintain classroom discipline and facilitate pre-set work.

Responsibilities:

• Supervise pupils whilst they carry out work that has been prearranged in the absence of the teacher.
• Manage classroom behaviour and ensure a constructive environment.
• Respond to any questions from pupils about process and procedures.
• Deal with any immediate problems or emergencies.
• Collect completed work after the lesson and pass to the appropriate teacher.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent; further education or certification beneficial.
• Experience in a school setting preferred but not essential.
• Strong classroom management skills.
