We are recruiting a Curriculum Support Assistant to join our Carpentry and Joinery team based at our Roundhouse Campus in Pride Park, Derby. The Opportunity
Within this role you’ll be supporting the Carpentry and Joinery teaching staff during practical based tasks. You’ll be doing things like helping to set up and clean the workshop, assisting individual students with tasks, and generally ensuring a safe environment for our students to prosper. It will also give you an insight into teaching and could provide an excellent opportunity to develop in the teaching profession!
About you
It is essential for you to have at least a Level 2 qualification in a related subject. You’ll have a good understanding of practical tasks, such as woodworking and using machinery, along with a desire to enhance student’s practical skills and support curriculum staff with their teaching. To be successful in this role, you’ll also be flexible and self-motivated.
