Smile Education are working on behalf of a Birmingham Primary School to assist in their recruitment of a degree qualified Teaching Assistant. This three-form entry Primary situated east of Central Birmingham currently holds opportunities for experienced Teaching Assistants looking for a new challenge or change of pace.
We are currently searching for degree qualified Teaching Assistant’s, from September 2021. This is a full-time role expected to last the full academic year. The successful applicants will be working across KS1 classes to provide support to mainly lower ability pupils. The focus of work will be on phonics and phonics intervention. The successful applicants should be confident in providing phonics intervention support and where needed 1:1 support. Opportunities do exist for applicants to receive further training and CPD.

We would like applicants to have experience in supporting primary teaching within the UK or British International School setting.
To be successful in your application, you should have experience in one or more of the following:
– Hold a relevant UK teaching assistant qualification- for example Supporting Teaching & Learning in Schools.
– Knowledge of the UK Primary Curriculum
– Exceptionally dedicated to supporting pupils achieve the very best through an all-inclusive curriculum.
