JOB DETAILS – Deputy Headteacher
• Deputy Headteacher
• Support the Head in leading all aspects of the school
• Monitor standards of teaching and learning across the school
• Lead, plan and deliver high quality, impactful CPD and INSET
• Ensure that high standards of behaviour, learning, academic attainment and pastoral care prevail across the school
• Tracking and analysing data and taking appropriate action to raise standards and drive improvement across the school
• Maternity Cover Contract – 1 year
• May 2023 – April 2024
• Leadership scale pay – Outer London L10 – L15

PERSON SPECIFICATION – Deputy Headteacher
• Qualified and experienced Teachers / Senior Leaders only
• NPQSL or NPQH qualification – desirable
• Have a clear vision and strategy to contribute to the school’s forward planning
• Strong leadership and management skills
• Model of good practice – Outstanding teacher
• Proven track record of strong student performance and outcomes
• Recent experience of working successfully as a senior leader or middle leader in a school
• Leadership of a significant area or phase including responsibility for raising standards across the whole school and contributing to self evaluation and school improvement
• Be a role model of excellent teaching, both in classroom practice and in professional conduct
• Evidence of leading teams effectively and managing change
• Experience of leading, managing, coaching and mentoring staff
• Demonstrate an awareness of new innovations in pedagogy and cognitive development
