The Opportunity
Mount Auburn Hospital, a Harvard Medical School teaching hospital in Cambridge, Massachusetts, and member of the Beth Israel Lahey Health (BILH) network, has an immediate opening for the role of Chief of Hematology-Oncology. The Division Chief is a full-time, practicing medical oncologist who provides personalized care to patients with all cancer types in the clinic and hospital setting. The Chief is dedicated to the clinical practice of Oncology and has exceptional teaching skills. The Chief is accountable for providing strategic leadership and direction for the Division, including directing, organizing, managing the financial performance, planning, recruiting, and academic mentorship.

Oncology/Hematology Division
The Oncology/Hematology Division’s comprehensive clinical services include a busy outpatient practice, an inpatient consult service, and a comprehensive chemotherapy/infusion service.

The division consists of 5 medical oncologists, 3 oncology nurse practitioners, several genetics counselors and a high risk genetics nurse practitioner, and a full complement of certified oncology nurses who support our patients in both the practice and infusion settings. As part of the Beth Israel Lahey Health network, Mount Auburn Hospital has access to comprehensive research programs and advanced oncologic services such as BMT and CAR-T.

The Division, and the Division Chief, play a critical role in the education of medical students and residents in the ambulatory and inpatient settings, and education of peers in multidisciplinary meetings and hospital based or network CME events.

Qualifications
Candidates must be Board certified in both Hematology and Oncology and be eligible for a faculty appointment as an instructor, Assistant Professor, or Associate Professor at Harvard Medical School, commensurate with experience and qualifications. Expertise in solid tumor malignancies is preferred.
