Job Overview

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a strong candidate to support teaching and learning at a Primary School in Derby (DE23). This role will be supporting children with additional needs and we are looking for an adaptable, flexible and resourceful individual able to support our Early Years Teaching Team to deliver high quality experiences for our children.

Job Requirements

Working under the direction of the teacher to support children with additional needs (EHCPs)
Preparing resources & activities and carrying out individual and group work
Delivering phonics sessions on a daily basis
Maintaining a safe and positive environment for all learners
Supporting assessment and evidencing learning
Creating opportunities for all learners to reach their potential, irrespective of abilityWhatThe School Can Offer

Knowledge of the EYFS Curriculum and early child development
Experience working with young children.
Childcare qualifications and an understanding of communication difficulties preferable
A proven ability to work on their own initiative.
A high level of communication skills and the ability to relate positively to children and adults.
The ability to use relevant technology/equipment.
A can-do attitude.

Hours: 8:15am – 3:45pm Mon – Fri
