Lambeth Virtual School are looking to appoint an Education Consultant for “Children with a Social Worker” to have strategic oversight and implement borough-wide changes to improve the outcomes for this group. The post holder will require qualified teacher status and have experience in leadership in education in schools or local authorities. Experience working for a Virtual School or local authority would be preferable.

The role with “Children with a Social Worker” is central to the new non-statutory responsibilities designated to the Virtual School by the DfE. The post-holder will be responsible for implementing change at a strategic level both internally (Children’s Social Care) and externally (schools), for the council to improve the educational outcomes for children and young people on child in need and child protection plans.

The post-holder will work as part of an established and friendly team and will receive role specific training and support.
