Emotional Support Mentor required for an Emotional Support Mentor role in Kensington & Chelsea | January 2022 Are you looking for a role where you can positively impact the lives of vulnerable children? The successful candidate will join an inclusive, hard-working in the beautiful borough of Kensington & Chelsea, and be tasked with supervising and supporting students inside and outside the classroom. You will play an active role in supporting teaching and learning throughout the school, ensuring that all students have access to learning in order to achieve their full potential.

Emotional Support Mentor
Full-time position, Monday Friday, 08:30 – 16:00
Salary: 18,000 | Pro rata to term time only, paid on a weekly PAYE basis
Supporting children who face challenges in their day-to-day learning experiences
Run small group interventions and support students in class
A passion for supporting young people’s wellbeing and academic achievementsEmotional Support Mentor | Job Requirements:
An excellent track-record of academic achievement
A minimum of a 2:1 degree preferably from a Top UK University
A confident, outgoing personality with the ability to build positive working relationships with colleagues and students alike
The patience, resilience and determination to make a positive impact on the educational achievements of younger students
Prior experience supporting children with SEND would be desirable although full training will be provided
The ability to think-quickly, be adaptable and want to get fully immersed in school-lifeThis job will provide the perfect platform for a graduate considering a career within the education sector.
Broad in nature, the role will provide you with the essential knowledge and experiences to support someone who wants to qualify as a teacher in the future or someone who has aspirations of specialising within SEND.
