Hourly pay rate: £29.77/hour (£24.97/hour + £4.80/hour as payment for annual leave)
Hours: 21 hours (Monday 09:00-15:00, Tuesday 09:00-16:00, Thursday 09:00-16:45, Friday 09:00-15:30)
We are currently seeking to appoint an inspirational and enthusiastic Engineering Lecturer to join our Technical & Vocational Skills department.
In this rewarding post you will be teaching and assessing on our Level 2-3 Engineering courses, and also applying your Physics knowledge and teaching some modules on our Level 2-3 BTEC Science courses.
Working closely with the Head of Department and the rest of the departmental team, you will have the chance to share your knowledge and skills with learners to help them achieve at the highest level as well as driving continuous improvement within the College. You will act as a personal tutor, promote attendance, participate in team meetings and contribute to the planning, development and review activities within your subject area.
The successful candidate must:
* Have a full teaching qualification
* Have a minimum of an A Level (or Level 3 equivalent) in Physics
* Have previous teaching experience in this area within a FE environment
* Be a specialist in the subject of Physics, and have the ability to teach on the level 3 Science Physics unit and the level 3 Manufacturing Engineering unit
