Design Technology teacher

They are looking to appoint an inspirational and committed teacher of Design Technology to join an expanding department as Design Technology is becoming a very popular choice among students. This role is a full time role to start in Easter and would be to teach Design Technology at Key stage 3 & 4. At Key Stage 3, the focus is on product design and pupils in Key Stage 4 start with an introduction to GCSE Design and Technology. Introduction to the wide range of materials used across Design and Technology. Students to explore a material handling collection and sort materials into categories based on material classification or working properties. Students to link material samples to pictures of a variety of products across Design and Engineering and explain and justify why they were chosen for the particular function. Their curriculum is designed to provide children with the core knowledge they need for success in education and later life and to develop their confidence, their ambition, and their sense of social responsibility. Each subject has a carefully structured method for ensuring students develop the knowledge they need to understand the world and human society and critically engage with it.
This role would be suitable for either a NQT or a more experienced teacher. Full teaching duties and responsibilities apply.
Centrally located in the Borough of Southwark they have excellent Public Transport links which are extremely frequent. Parking facilities are available if necessary but onsite parking is restricted.
