Description:

Our client is an Independent Special School in Somerset with 30 students with complex needs to whom they provide 1:1 or 2:1 teaching and support. They have two Learning Centres in and around the Mendip area in addition to an Outreach and Outdoor Learning Centre. They are currently looking to expand their provision to include a third Learning Centre. They are an approved GCSE exam centre.

They need a competent, confident and inspirational English Teacher with good IT skills to join their committed and energetic staff team.

The successful applicant will be expected to safeguard students’ welfare, promote and support the educational and therapeutic needs of the students, contribute to curriculum meetings and the whole school development plan, provide one to one English teaching to students, support learning staff in delivering follow up English activities, deliver study plans, record outcomes, and prepare resources.

The successful applicant will need to work across their sites in Somerset; Wedmore, Burrowbridge and Westhay Moor and will need use of their own car to travel.
