An exciting teaching opportunity has arisen for an experienced, knowledgeable and passionate teacher to teach GCSE/Functional skills English. As an English tutor you will have a full time cohort of learners split into groups. You will be responsible for delivering both GCSE and Functional skills lessons, bringing learning to life in a way that excites and inspires our client’s learners. You will work closely with a learner support officer to support learners through their journey from recruitment to achievement, taking full responsibility for the achievement of your learners.English Tutor Responsibilities:• Plan and deliver knowledgeable and exciting lessons• Track the progress learners make from their starting point and in every lesson• Mark and provide feedback to learners within a week of submission• Support learners to achieve and realise their aspirational goalsEnglish Tutor Requirements:You must have a proven credible track record of working in an English teaching setting for a minimum period of 3 years and experience of delivering outstanding lessons and achieving excellent outcomes for learners.You must have a recognised teaching qualification with an English qualification minimum grade 5 or equivalent.All positions are subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exemptions Order) 1975 and as such it will be necessary for a submission for an Enhanced Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service to check for any previous criminal convictions, cautions, warnings and reprimandsOur client’s organisation is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, young people and vulnerable adults and expects all staff and post holders to share this commitment.About our client: Our client is committed to helping individuals, organisations and communities succeed through learning and work.
