Ward End Primary School is a vibrant and inclusive school in Birmingham that aims to provide a high-quality education for all pupils. They are looking for special educational needs (SEN) teaching assistants to join their team.

Your new role
Are you looking for a rewarding and challenging career in education? Do you have a passion for supporting children with special educational needs and disabilities? If so, you might be the perfect candidate for Ward End Primary School!
As a SEN teaching assistant, you will work under the guidance of our SENCO and class teachers to support pupils with a range of needs, such as autism, dyslexia, ADHD, and physical disabilities. You will assist with the delivery of individualised learning plans, monitor and record pupil progress, and communicate effectively with parents and other professionals. You will also help create a stimulating and safe environment for our pupils, both in and outside the classroom.

This role will commence immediately and is long-term.

What you‘ll need to succeed
To be successful in this role, you will need to have:

A relevant qualification in supporting teaching and learning, such as NVQ Level 2 or 3
Experience of working with children with special educational needs and disabilities
A positive, flexible, and creative approach to learning
A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
A willingness to undertake further training and development as required

In addition to this, we will require two satisfactory references.
