Female Head of PE
Remedy are looking for an experienced and dynamic Female Secondary PE Teacher to join a school in Wickford to become the Head of PE. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a supportive and stimulating environment, where you will have the opportunity to inspire and motivate students to achieve their full potential in physical education.
Key Responsibilities:
To plan and deliver engaging and challenging physical education lessons to boys in Secondary School, from year 7 to year 11.
To assess and monitor students’ progress and provide feedback to them and their parents or guardians.
To contribute to the development of the physical education curriculum, schemes of work and assessment policies
To participate in school sports activities, including organising and coaching school sports teams
To contribute to the pastoral care of students, including attendance at assemblies, parents’ evenings and other school events as required
Requirements:
Qualified teacher status (QTS) or equivalent, with a relevant degree and/or postgraduate qualification in physical education
Experience of teaching physical education to boys in Secondary School, with a proven track record of raising achievement and promoting engagement
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate students
A commitment to ongoing professional development and a willingness to participate in school-wide initiatives.
An understanding of current trends and issues in physical education and the ability to adapt teaching practices accordingly.
