Lecturer in Floristry (Maternity Cover) Temporary: Full time Salary: £25,421 – £31,413 Are you educated to degree level or equivalent in floristry? Have you got an inspiring character? The role allows you to plan, deliver and develop high quality learning opportunities for students to help them achieve their learning goals and help them progress to a rewarding career. Main roles and responsibilities Contribute in the development of Floristry courses Teach students attending full-time, part-time and short courses as directed by the Head of School and Vice Principal. Act as a course tutor to full-time and part-time groups and undertake the associated organisation, administration, and monitoring of attendance including the collection of data for course evaluation. Ordering of flowers and resources suited to the student activities. Tutor other student and trainee groups including the maintenance of records of achievement Counsel students and maintain discipline as required Participate in the recruitment of students including attendance at Shows and Careers Conventions. Participate in curriculum development to meet the needs of changing industrial demand and College development. Participate in demonstrations and practical activities with students and trainees on all courses. Qualifications and Certificates needed: Educated to BSc level or equivalent in an Floristry related subject To hold or be willing to work towards and achieve a Diploma in Teaching and Learning (Certificate in Education) or equivalent Minimum of grade C in GCSE Maths and English Language (or equivalent) Commitment to and evidence of CPD If you believe the Floristry Lecturer position is for you then please click apply which will then follow with a call so I can discuss the role further with you.
