Empowering Learning are currently recruiting on behalf of a number of primary schools in the borough of Bexley, looking for long term intervention teaching assistants. We are experiencing a high demand for interventions and we want to attract the best Intervention teaching assistants to support our clients students. We anticipate intervention being needed on a long-term basis to maximise support for students. This role is to start February working full time.

We are seeking to appoint enthusiastic Intervention teaching assistants, who can motivate pupils to succeed and provide a well-structured learning environment. You will be supporting students across both Key Stages to bridge the gap in learning, due to the pandemic. You will work collaboratively with the class teachers to devise schemes of work and identify groups of students who require additional support.

There are easily, accessible Public Transport links both North and South of the river, which would offer a short 5-10 minute walk from train stations/bus stops close to the schools.

Recent primary experience
Bexley Borough
Interventions experience required
Flexible and adaptable
Experience working across KS1/KS2Job Requirements

Confident to Lead Interventions across KS1/KS2 (previous experience)
Experience working with children with specialist needs
Strong communication skills
Valid DBS registered with the online update service or be prepared to apply for a new DBS
