Are you looking for a flexible and rewarding role as a General Cover Teacher in North Shields? GSL Education is seeking a dedicated and versatile General Cover Teacher to join our team in North Shields, starting immediately.

Key Responsibilities: As a General Cover Teacher, your responsibilities will include:

1. covering the lessons of absent teachers across different subjects and year groups.
2. follow the lesson plans provided by the regular teachers
3. ensure the learning objectives are met.
4. maintain a positive and safe learning environment.
5. able to adapt to different situations and challenges
6. use your initiative and creativity to engage and motivate the students.

Requirements: To excel in this role, you should have:

• Be proactive, energetic, kind and caring
• An enhanced DBS on the update service (or willing to go through the process with us)
• A full checkable work history
• A qualified teacher status (QTS) or equivalent
• Previous experience in teaching at a secondary level
• A good knowledge of the national curriculum and current educational standards
• A confident and enthusiastic approach to teaching and learning
• A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
