As part of the Together Trust Education Service staff team, other teachers, college tutors, educational assistants and other professionals, the postholder will be expected to participate in the life of the school and support the ethos of the Trust and Ashcroft. In respect of the general responsibilities as an employee of the Trust, the postholder will be required to:

• Outstanding subject knowledge of curriculum areas required to teach especially the core subjects.
• Excellent knowledge and experience of teaching learners with social, emotional and mental health needs
• Experience of teaching within a nurture setting
• Excellent knowledge and understanding of the 6 principles of Nurture
• A proven track record of excellent classroom management with a strong commitment to using proactive and therapeutic approaches to support students with their social and emotional growth
• A full awareness of the current national issues relating to the teaching & education

About you

• Qualified Teacher Status
• Experience working within primary / nurture setting
• The ability to differentiate in an innovative and creative manner.
• The ability to think on your feet and be flexible in your approach
• Outstanding communication skills, including written and verbal interpersonal skills.
• Self-motivation, effective time management and the ability to work unsupervised.
• To be able to use your initiative and work under pressure.
• Ability and willingness to learn new skills and methods.
• Can think creatively and problem solve.
