A Primary school in Ealing are eager to fill x5 Graduate Teaching Assistant vacancies for this September. We are looking for passionate, enthusiastic graduates who can help the students with their academics however mainly support them with their social, emotional and mental health. This role will include working closely with students who have SEN, such as Autism and ADHD as well as completing activities in 1:1 or group settings. This close work will enable you to build rapports with the students and ultimately be their mental health support.

Your role will include the opportunity to shadow professionals such as Child Psychologists, Therapists and Counsellors so, if you are looking to go into any of those professions, this role is perfect for you. Not only will you be working with external professionals, you will also have an amazing team of Teachers and SLT (including SENCO) who will help upskill you to help you kick start your career.

JOB DESCRIPTION – Graduate Teaching Assistant – Mental Health Support

• Graduate Teaching Assistant – Mental Health Support
• Support KS1 and KS2 students with their academics
• To have a main focus of supporting the students social, emotional and mental well being
• To build rapports with all students, building trust
• To support the lead teacher when needed
• 1:1 and group work outside the classroom to focus on a specific topic
• Supporting those with SEN: Autism, ADHD, ADD, Down Syndrome and many more September 2024 Start for full academic year
• Full Time, Long Term
• Monday-Friday
• 105 – 110 Per Day
• Located in the Borough of Ealing

PERSON SPECIFICATION – Graduate Teaching Assistant – Mental Health Support

• A bright graduate with a 2:1 or 1st Class Degree
• Good A Levels & GCSEs across the board
• Must be confident and ambitious to make positive impacts on pupils
• To be able to tailor your communication so all students understand the work
• You must be able to engage and motivate the students
• To be able to use creative and imagination to engage students
• Commitment and ambition to succeed is key throughout!
