Tradewind are recruiting! Are you looking for you next role as Head of Computer Science in Newham?
Tradewind are looking for a suitably qualified Head of Computer Science to join a high achieving 11-18 school in Newham. This role would be to start in Easter or September 2021. Permanent post available if desired.
This is a lively, high achieving multi-cultural school located in East Ham, London. The school described by OFSTED as ‘outstanding’ is massively oversubscribed and consistently achieves outstanding outcomes at GCSE and A level. This client provides a friendly working environment and offers established programmes of teacher induction and continuing professional development.
An exciting opportunity has arisen to lead a successful Computer Science department through the next stage of its development. Computer Science is a core subject at Key Stage 3 and is a popular subject choice at GCSE. A vocational IT course is also offered to a small group of students at key stage 4. We also offer Computer Science at A level (AS and A2) and many students go on to study the subject at the elite Russell Group Universities, including Oxbridge. Outcomes at both GCSE and A Level are consistently good.
The successful applicant will play a key role in further developing the subject at Key Stages 4 and 5 and be an outstanding classroom practitioner with the vision to be creative, the passion to motivate, and the subject-knowledge to challenge and inspire.
You will be a strong leader, be ambitious for the further development of the department, and be committed to its wider provision (including exchanges, study visits and a programme of extension and enrichment).
The school’s location is surrounded by local transport links, multi bus links and tube stations are within easy access to this school. On-site Parking is also available.
