Please note: the post holder will be engaging in regulated activity, working mainly or wholly with children. This position is exempt from the rehabilitation of offender’s act 1974. It is an offence to apply for this role if you are barred from engaging in regulated activity relevant to children.

The Head of Department is accountable for:
Overall student outcomes in the department in partnership with the teachers concerned, evaluation of relevant assessment information for individuals, groups and cohorts, ensuring good pastoral care and personal development for students, presenting information and evaluation reports to the senior leadership team, parents and Academy Council members, as requested, performance management of teachers in the department as required and other duties as detailed in the job description.
