SCJ consulting is working with the school to support in finding the right person for this role.

The school have an exciting teaching opportunity for a Head of Drama to join their team. You will be the sole teacher in the department, so they are looking for someone who is a self-starter and enjoys working with a relatively blank canvas.

The successful person will be able to carry out the duties as summarised below but more importantly has the right people skills and character that aligns with the school.

• Ability to work collaboratively with others.

The main duties and responsibilities include:

• Teaching drama at KS3 and KS4
• Teaching GCSE groups in year 10 and 11
• Organising and leading Drama clubs and other extra curricular activities
• Collaborate with other teachers and staff to integrate drama into other subjects and school-wide events
• Plan and direct school productions, including casting, rehearsals and performances.
• To ensure there is a comprehensive drama curriculum that aligns with the schools vision, gets the best out of the students and has a positive impact

Qualifications and Experience:

• A fully qualified teacher with evidence of QTS Secondary teaching
• Qualified to at least degree level in subject area and/or A Levels or equivalent
• Qualified to teach and work in the UK
• Strong IT skills
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
