Head of Duke of Edinburgh (DofE) Award Scheme The Role:

The Head is seeking to appoint a passionate and experienced Head of Duke of Edinburgh (DofE) Award Scheme. The DofE programme is thriving at Abingdon with over 200 students participating at any one time. This is an opportunity to lead the scheme, supporting staff who work within the programme and inspiring students to engage with the course successfully.

It is envisaged that the Head of DofE role would be combined with teaching responsibilities at Abingdon. However the School is also open to hearing from candidates who are not teachers who might be able to offer wider skills and experience (e.g. CCF or sports) to the Foundation. Owing to the nature of this role, flexibility is required and some working at weekends and during school holidays will be involved.
