Spencer Clarke Group are working in partnership with a fast-growing accountancy group to secure them a Head of Practice Management for their firm.

This is a senior role which will allow business exposure and accountability from day one.

Responsibilities

• To work with the directors and the accounting team to support them on all standing compliance client information e.g engagement letters, KYC, AML new client setup etc.
• Develop and keep up to date documentation for the customer charter, employee handbook.
• Be knowledgeable to understand practice management needs beyond the day-to-day delivery and offer timely proactive advice.
• Keep timesheet and billings up to date at all times.
• To ensure that suitable monitoring and recovery systems are in place with regard teams chargeable time.
• Managing IRIS practice management software to align with service needs
• Manage and develop the credit control procedures including liaising with clients on any billing queries
• To manage cashflow, including debtors and creditors, as well as the banking
• Provide the executive team with weekly and monthly performance reports for the teams
• Develop, (manage the existing) and implement HR strategies and initiatives aligned with the overall business strategy of the business, working with their HR service provider
• Develop training and induction programme and documentation for new joiners
• Bridge management and employee relations by addressing demands, grievances or other issues
• Oversee and manage a performance appraisal system that drives high performance

To be considered for this position we are looking for the following requirements:

• Proven working experience as practice manager or another executive role in a professional services environment
• People oriented and results driven
• Demonstrable experience with human resource and employee matters
• Knowledge of industry standard practice management systems and databases
• Ability to architect strategy along with leadership skills
• Excellent active listening, negotiation and presentation skills
• Competence to build and effectively manage interpersonal relationships at all levels of the company
• Ambition!
• Able to challenge the status-quo
• Experience of a practice management software
• Experience of Microsoft Office
