TeacherActive is proud to be working with a mainstream Primary and Nursery School based in Eastwood, who are looking to appoint a Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA).

The school is looking to take on a driven Primary Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) on a long-term basis, leading to a permanent position for the right Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA). The successful applicant will be working across both EYFS, Key Stage 1 / KS1 in a SEND-based role. The Successful candidate will lead small groups of students with special education needs. The Senior Leadership Team are dedicated to ensuring the successful Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) will be supported and developed from day one.

The successful Primary Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) will have:

• Level 4 Teaching Assistant Certificate
• Experience working with children with special educational needs
• Excellent classroom management

The role will include:

• Assisting the teacher with classroom preparation
• Work with students who require additional support
• Leading group work
• Helping the class teacher with pupil observations
