We are working exclusively with Secondary schools across Wigan who are looking for someone to join their teams as a HLTA; higher level teaching assistant.

The school is looking for an enthusiastic member of the support staff to join their school. The English and Maths Departments are very strong and the successful candidates will receive exceptional training to support them in their role. They are looking for professionals who have some experience of supporting children and have a genuine desire to support staff in delivering exceptional learning experiences for our pupils.

This position would suit someone who is looking to pursue a career in education or wishing to embark on a PGCE in September 2023 or 24 or someone who has recent experience working as a tutor/intervention lead. The role will start in as soon as possible and if successful, will be for the rest of the current academic year

EXPERIENCE, TRAINING AND QUALIFICATIONS

• Degree educated with a good classification, in English
• High grade in English & Maths at GCSE level
• A level in English Literature or Language
• Previous experience working with young people (which we can reference) desirable but not essential
• Up to date Safeguarding training issued in the last year (essential, however training can be provided)

Up to date prevent awareness training issued in the last 3 years (essential, however, training can be provided.

Hold an enhanced DBS registered on the update service or be willing to process a new application
