About the team:
The Program team provides end-to-end solutions for architecture, customer information, deposits, lending, and financial and management reporting. You will be working with a variety of highly capable developers, quality managers, testers, project managers and others focused on delivering high quality solutions to our client running FIS Profile core banking applications and a variety of hosted external vendor applications. You will also engage with many FIS applications and their support teams for ancillary solutions that we provide to our client.
What you will be doing:
You will be responsible for Infrastructure design, installation, configuration, testing, security, and maintenance of software applications during the life cycle of implementation of various business solutions . You will act as technical liaison between FIS product development, business analysts, project management and client technical SMEs, around infrastructure design and implementation. Expert career role with individual contribution expected. Highly experienced professional with broad and unique technical knowledge required.
Provisioning, configuration, and maintenance of application run time environments
Technical SME and primary ownership of infrastructure related issues for the project environments
Work with multidisciplinary teams to gather technical requirements and provide best practice infrastructure solutions
Work with other departmental SME to implement best infrastructure solution for new functionality and on-going environments
Triaging any issues of the running instances of the applications with focus on end-to-end ownership
Determining requirements and configuration for applications with external interfaces
Act as infrastructure SME and primary contact with client counterparts
Working with product development organization to assimilate functional design and requirements
Assist implementation project teams with custom application configuration including connectivity, security, access control
Document and employ consistent build and deployment process to facilitate build process, adding automation were possible
Document and maintain centralized documentation for all environmental information
Document and maintain currency on all layers related to infrastructure needs
Any other related duties as required
What you bring:
Bachelor’s degree in computer science or engineering or the equivalent combination of education, training, or work experience.
Requires the following experience or equivalent combination of education and experience as a minimum:
Must have led technology direction for multiple projects and led or presented architecture concepts outside realm of immediate workgroup
Demonstrated experience as infrastructure architect or technical lead on many “very large” projects
Five or more years working in a distributed and heterogeneous computing environment (AIX, UNIX, Windows)
Five or more years familiarity with Networking principles and designs
Five or more years working with Databases including Oracle and MS SQL Server
Successful design and implementation of infrastructure in multitier architecture
Outstanding verbal and written communication skills to technical and non-technical audiences of various levels in the organization, e.g., executive, management, individual contributors
Excellent analytical, decision-making, problem-solving, team and time management skills
In-depth knowledge of FIS products and services and of the financial services industry
Excellent customer service skills that build high levels of customer satisfaction for internal and external customers
Willingly shares relevant technical and/or industry knowledge and expertise to other resources
Excellent problem-solving, team and time management skills
Resourceful and proactive in gathering information and sharing ideas
Added bonus if you have:
Financial/Banking industry experience preferred
Knowledge of FIS Products and Services preferred.
Ability to persuade and influence others on the best approach to take
Ability to estimate work effort for project sub-plans or small projects and ensure the project is successfully completed
