We are looking for Job Coaches and Assistant Coaches for a Post 16 special school in the Leeds area.
The Role
The core role of the job coach is to provide tailored support to pre-interns, supported interns and employers so that the young person can make a positive progression to paid employment.
Supporting the pupils with their pastoral, social and emotional needs, building confidence and skills.
You would be expected to liaise with local employers to provide introductions to employment through visits, talks and work experience for pupils.
You would be expected to attend pupils work placements to support them in there working enviroment.
The School
The school is an SPI (Specialist Post-16 Institution) and a registered charity that was established in 2018. Their focus is on supporting young adults, aged 16-25, to gain the social and employability skills they need to find and sustain paid employment. Majority of students have an EHCP (Education Health Care Plan), are autistic and/or have mild to moderate learning difficulties or other support needs.
Requirements
* Available for full time hours
* Willing to undergo a DBS check
* Passion to support young adults with learning disabilities
