Do you have experience in being a Special Needs Teaching Assistant working in small groups and 1:1?

TeacherActive is looking for a Special Needs TA / Teaching Assistant in Exeter to work in an alternative provision. You will need to be able to build great relationships with the pupils and support staff.

We are looking for a Special Needs TA / Teaching Assistant to support children with behavioural difficulties and trauma in a role providing Learning Outside the Classroom (LOTC).

The ideal Special TA / Teaching Assistant should have the following:

• A minimum of 6 months of experience in an educational establishment
• Be Engaging and hardworking
• Have good communication skills
• A good understanding of child protection and safeguarding guidelines
• Experience in working with supporting students in their education on a 1:1 and a small group basis
• A full UK license with access to your own vehicle for work purposes (costs will be reimbursed)

The successful Special Needs Teaching Assistant will be joining a traditional school with a new appointment and an excellent senior leadership team.
